The Akai Professional MPC One+ is a powerful standalone music production centre. Based around the same ARM architecture that powers all MPC-OS devices, the MPC One+ can run the latest MPC plugin effects and instruments from the AIR stable as well as the included suite of tools provided by Akai.

What’s New Compared To MPC One?

Better Connected.

The MPC One+ now includes both WIFI and Bluetooth connectivity. This makes updating the device painless and if you’re using the Splice integration, downloading your latest samples is simple. Devices that are capable of transmitting MIDI data over Bluetooth can now be paired with the One+, potentially saving the need for an additional USB hub if you keep your sounds on a drive rather than making use of the SD Card slot.

MIDI in/out, CV/Gate and USB B and A ports are positioned on the rear of the unit, alongside the main output and recording input level controls and connections. There’s no RJ45 ethernet connector included on the MPC One+ but in use the WIFI is more than fast enough.

Bigger Storage.

With increased internal storage, the One+ has more than enough capacity to store your samples, MPC plugin instruments and effects. The increase to 16GB (up from the 4GB MPC One) should ensure that your One+ maintains your focus on creativity, rather than file management.

The exciting red finish helps the One+ stand out from the crowd in a world of dull grooveboxes.

With these new additions, it could be easy to overlook the position of the MPC One+ in the standalone world. Not only is the One+ priced attractively if you’re considering the MPC platform for beat-making, it’s competitively priced against pretty much every other groovebox on the market when considering the sheer power this compact music production centre possesses.

Users can run several plugin instruments at once alongside drum programs as well as samples, and the included effects are more than capable enough to help finish beats.     Warranty

    • All products are backed up by a minimum 12 month
      manufacturer warranty.
    • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
      considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
      charge.
    • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
    • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
      customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
    • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
