The AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 is a four channel DJ controller that is compatible with both Rekordbox and Serato DJ, offers a club standard layout and inspirational performance features including the new (Rekordbox powered) Groove Circuit*.

As the replacement to the Pioneer DJ DDJ-GLX6GT, the GRV6 is the first DDJ to wear the new AlphaTheta branding. It’s no less pioneering than the model it replaces, with some inspired STEMS features in both Rekordbox and Serato DJ and an upgraded browsing experience which really enhances library navigation thanks to the Smart Rotary Encoder.

Get Into The Groove.

The research and development team have created one of the most exciting uses of STEMS technology with the Groove Circuit. This drum replacement tool enables DJs to replace the drums in any track with alternative loops quickly, easily and – perhaps most importantly – seamlessly!

Out of the box, there are 40 drum loops curated by the sample experts over at Loopmasters. However, the Capture function will quickly allow you to extract drum grooves from any track and this is where the live remix opportunities really come into play. You’ll soon find yourself beefing up the intro section of a RnB track with a 4x4 loop before dropping into a broken beat after your newly created breakdown – all with the new drum elements sync’d to the track that’s playing.

If you want to take things to the next level, you could be rolling a 2-step drum groove over the latest house anthem and then adding energy with an open hat 909 loop as multiple drum grooves can be added at once in Groove Circuit*. But it doesn’t stop there.

Thanks to the one button controls, you can easily add effects to help you transition between different grooves and, as always, the DJM style effects can be used to further sculpt the sound. It’s worth noting that you can record the remixes you create using the Groove Circuit, and transfer these to a USB key to take to the club.

The STEMS features don’t end with the Groove Circuit, Serato DJ users have access to the usual STEMS separation using the same controls. Simply use the provided Serato DJ overlay and you’ll be able to use both the STEMS effects and selectors without sacrificing a pad mode.

Industry Standard Layout.

AlphaTheta has designed the DDJ-GRV6 to feel like a portable DJ booth. The performance pads are in the same position as you’ll find on the flagship CDJ-3000, while the big jog wheels have a great weight and feel to them, easing the transition between this controller and the DJ booth. The mixer section is nicely laid out, with plenty of space around all of the controls.

The GRV6 has been designed to enhance the navigation of your library and thanks to the Smart Rotary Encoder – which has four directions of movement (up, down, left and right). In addition, the Discover button is a shortcut to the Track Suggestion feature in Rekordbox – helping to take your set in a different musical direction by resurfacing a forgotten classic or pushing boundaries with something new.

Multi-device Compatibility.

GRV6 is compatible with Android***, iOS***, MAC and PC devices. This means that no matter what device you use rekordbox with, you can always connect to the unit to DJ.

Westend DJ recommend that you open any items received from us carefully, as any damage to the internal packaging or missing items may incur a discretionary re-stocking fee.

Some goods are not eligible for return. This is because they are either consumables or due to hygiene reasons, these include: microphones, effect fluids, styli, crossfaders and line faders, headphones and replacement parts.

    manufacturer warranty.
  • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
    considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
    charge.
  • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
  • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
    customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
  • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
