The AlphaTheta DJM-V5 is a compact, three-channel DJ mixer designed for selectors who build their sets as a journey - prioritising musical storytelling, seamless blends and refined transitions. Built around AlphaTheta’s latest audio architecture, the DJM-V5 combines exceptional sound quality with advanced connectivity, including USB-C Multi I/O and SonicLink ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring.

At the heart of the DJM-V5 is an audio path focused on clarity and warmth. Operating at 96kHz / 64-bit, the high-resolution DSP delivers some of the most natural summing ever heard on an AlphaTheta mixer. Extensive use of ESS Technology converters throughout the signal chain ensures pristine audio performance across all inputs and outputs, regardless of your playback source. This is a mixer tuned for connoisseurs - immersive, detailed and unmistakably musical.

Much of the control layout will feel instantly familiar to DJs coming from the DJM-V10. The four-band EQ, compressor, filter and Send FX provide the same depth of sound sculpting found on AlphaTheta’s festival-proven flagship, but in a significantly more compact footprint. Unlike the V10, which is available in both standard and long-fader versions, the DJM-V5 is purpose-built for technical mixing and features 60mm long-throw channel faders as standard.

These faders introduce a new Soft Mix Curve mode, which subtly attenuates high frequencies during transitions to create smoother, more natural blends. The result is greater control over dynamics and texture - ideal for DJs who express themselves through nuance rather than abrupt drops.

For deeper, more expressive transitions, the DJM-V5 inherits its Send FX directly from the V10 and Euphonia. Six high-quality effects are available: Short Delay, Reverb, Shimmer, Tape Echo, Ping-Pong and Echo-Verb. Each channel features a dedicated Send knob, allowing intuitive, per-track effect control. The Time knob includes a tactile, stepped mechanism that changes depending on the selected effect, providing precise feedback when shaping decay and timing. DJs looking for more high-impact effects can integrate the RMX-IGNITE via USB-C Multi I/O or the analogue send/return loop.

Sound shaping is further expanded with three filter types: classic low-pass and high-pass, plus the all-new Cross Pass filter. Making its debut on the DJM-V5, Cross Pass retains low-frequency energy while gently filtering mids and highs - perfect for introducing movement to vocals or melodies without losing drive, and opening up entirely new performance techniques.

The DJM-V5 also features AlphaTheta’s SonicLink low-latency wireless technology. Compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10 can be paired directly with the mixer, allowing you to move freely without the restriction of cables while cueing or monitoring.
