The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ is a four-channel standalone DJ system which offers a club-style layout, built-in WIFI, multi-device support, four channel mixing and a SOnicLink transmitter. As the replacement to the Pioneer DJ XDJ-XZ, it offers significant upgrades including a much larger multi-touch screen to streamline both library navigation and mixing.

Club-style layout.

Inheriting the jogwheels from the flagship Pioneer DJ CDJ-3000 media-player, the XDJ-AZ instantly feels like an upgrade to the unit it replaces. With an increase in both accuracy and smoothness, it’s easy to see why these tactile jogwheels are the standard across DJ booths and festival stages.

In addition, the new mixer section is clean and uncluttered, benefitting from the inspired shift of option selection to within the large 10.1-inch multi-touch display. We first saw this with the Opus-Quad and it has helped to create a DJM-style mixer section that’s easy to configure and great to use.

Everything is where you would expect it to be within the XDJ-AZ. This familiarity gives you confidence to focus on your mixing the moment you take it from the box. The four deck mixing is simple thanks to the large screen which provides all the visual feedback that DJs have come to expect, with the 1/3 and 2/4 deck switches to hand to make adjustments quick and easy.

SonicLink Enabled.

Free yourself from the headphone with the SonicLink powered wireless headphone connectivity built-in to the XDJ-AZ. Currently compatible with the HDJ-F10 headphones, this low-latency connectivity finally delivers freedom from the headphone cable without compromising on performance.

WIFI Built-In

With Rekordbox cloud play you can access your library from the cloud and play anywhere with an internet connection. In addition, Beatport Streaming is facilitated via the StreamingDirectPlay feature, offering a huge catalogue of tracks at the click of a button. Please note that both of these streaming services require either a Rekordbox or Beatport subscription.

Club sound.

AlphaTheta have chosen to use a 32-bit digital to analogue converter from ESS technology to handle this important conversion. As seen, and most importantly heard, across the professional products from the AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ camp, these processors deliver a rich, warm and powerful sound quality that’s club ready. This makes the Alphatheta XDJ-AZ the perfect option for small venues, studios and DJs getting ready for their gig in the club – you’ll hear and feel every detail in your tracks!

Multi-Device Compatibility.

In addition to the USB and WIFI connectivity, the XDJ-AZ can be used with both MAC and PC as well as Android and iOS devices. Support for Serato DJ arrives in December 2024 but from launch the unit is a hardware unlock device for Rekordbox.

Other key features of the XDJ-AZ include the 16 large performance pads which offer dynamic playability. USB connectivity is fully featured with 3 USB inputs (2 top-loading for USB devices, and 1 laptop connection) which enables smooth back-to-back performances and DJ handovers. There’s also support for the Gate Cue mode, where Hot Cues play only while you press the pads.

Just like the hugely popular XDJ-XZ from Pioneer DJ, the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ is a combination of the greatest hits from the industry leading manufacturer from the past few years but with the addition of the latest tech and the new MPU architecture which ensures continual upgradability for some time to come.

All items are sent with DPD. For added security, expensive items will require a pin code at delivery which is emailed to you.

DPD aims to deliver next day, but some remote parts of the UK may experience a two day service.

Returns.

Should you wish to change your mind, you have 30 days from the date of receipt to do so. Simply drop us an email to info@westenddj.co.uk and we'll guide you through the process.

Westend DJ recommend that you open any items received from us carefully, as any damage to the internal packaging or missing items may incur a discretionary re-stocking fee.

Some goods are not eligible for return. This is because they are either consumables or due to hygiene reasons, these include: microphones, effect fluids, styli, crossfaders and line faders, headphones and replacement parts.

    manufacturer warranty.
  • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
    considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
    charge.
  • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
  • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
    customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
  • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
