This month Focusrite have teamed up with Venomode to offer not just one, but three plug-ins for you to try, plus a 50% discount at the Venomode store. Venomode is a relatively new brand which is outputting high-quality, very easy-to-use plug-ins that are both enjoyable to use and produce a top-quality sound.

From 2 May you’ll be able to instantly enhance your tracks with DeeQ (a single-band EQ), Maximal 2 (a maximiser) and Pivot (a tilt EQ). They’re really easy to use, needing just one or two tweaks to a couple of controls to transform your track. At the same time, Venomode are also offering a generous 50% off their other products. But don’t leave it too late: the offer is only available until 4 July 2019.

DeeQ is a single-band dynamic EQ filter that automatically adjusts the parameters of the EQ based on the incoming envelope or an external sidechain. It’s great for everything from small adjustments to make room in the mix, to creative ‘wah’ type effects.

Maximal 2 is a loudness maximiser, featuring an advanced lookahead peak limiter and analogue-modelled saturation. It smoothly limits any peaks in the audio, and automatically increases the overall level. The analogue-modelled tape and tube saturation modes borrow all the best parts of the analogue world without the bad bits!

Pivot is a powerful tilt equaliser, allowing you to quickly shift the spectral content of your audio. Mid/Side modes allow you to adjust the stereo content of your audio separately, allowing you to clean up muddy stereo bass, or crisp up the wide treble in your master tracks.

The Scarlett Octopre Dynamic builds on the features of the Scarlett OctoPre, adding analogue compression to all input channels and eight channels of precision D-A conversion. Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is ideal for expanding any high quality, multi-channel recording system.

With its high-headroom mic, line and dual instrument inputs and analogue compression, it's ideal for tracking drums as well guitars, keyboards, vocals and more. Meanwhile the eight outputs give you the option of expanding your analogue outputs over and above the Scarlett OctoPre.

    Wherever you happen to be in the world, you can rely on a two-year warranty if any Focusrite hardware needs repairing or replacing due to a manufacturing fault. Focusrite will send you replacement gear in the UK and the US, and they’ll cover the shipping costs both ways. In the UK, they'll send you a replacement before you return your hardware to them.

    Warranty

    • All products are backed up by a minimum 12 month
      manufacturer warranty.
    • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
      considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
      charge.
    • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
    • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
      customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
    • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
