AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ Firmware 1.3

AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ Firmware Update: What’s New?

The latest firmware update for the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ has just dropped and it’s a big one!

  • 4-deck waveform view added → finally see all decks at once (huge for multi-deck mixing)

  • Streaming upgrade → direct playback + faster login with TIDAL

  • On-device updates → no laptop needed for updates

  • Multi-account login → easier for B2B sets

  • Bug fixes & stability → smoother overall performance

Finally: Proper 4-Deck View

You can now see all four decks at once with a proper waveform display. If you mix with multiple decks, this is a game changer. Whether you're layering acapellas, juggling loops, or performing full double drops, having full visual oversight on the unit makes everything feel way more natural. This feature brings the XDJ-AZ closer to a true club-standard workflow, especially for DJs who push beyond traditional two-deck mixing.

Streaming Upgrade

Streaming gets a serious boost with improved integration for TIDAL with StreamingDirectPlay. DJs can now enjoy faster login times and more responsive browsing. This is particularly useful for open-format DJs or anyone taking requests on the fly. The smoother experience means less waiting and more playing, perfect for live environments.

On Device Updates

Upgrading your gear just got a lot easier! The AZ now supports on-device firmware updates so the unit no longer requires a laptop to install the latest version. This small but powerful change simplifies updates, especially for DJs on the move or venues managing shared equipment. Plug in, update, and you’re good to go.

Multi-Account Login

Another great addition in the latest version of firmware for the AZ is the ability to log into multiple streaming accounts on one unit. This addition makes it much easier for multiple DJs to switch between their own streaming accounts without hassle. For back-to-back sets, events, or DJ collectives, this feature removes the need to switch profiles mid set. No more logging in and out, keeping the beats flowing.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

Of course, no firmware update would be complete without under-the-hood improvements. This release includes a range of bug fixes and performance enhancements that make the system feel smoother and more reliable overall.
